The Neurofit Vitals SDK lets you add clinical-grade biometric measurements to any iOS or Android app without a wearable device. Your user places their fingertip over the rear camera for 60 seconds, and the SDK returns heart rate, heart rate variability, and breathing rate — processed entirely on the device, never transmitted, and validated against a Polar H10 chest strap across 30 participants and 265 readings.
The Neurofit Vitals SDK is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. It is intended to help users and developers track general wellness metrics.

Why Developers Choose the Vitals SDK

The SDK is purpose-built for wellness, fitness, and research teams that need objective biometric data without adding wearable hardware or a cloud dependency to their product.

Runs Entirely On-Device

All signal processing happens on the phone using deterministic algorithms — no machine learning, no images stored, no data sent to any server. Your users’ biometric data belongs to you.

Validated Accuracy

HRV (RMSSD) error of just 3.4 ms against a Polar H10 chest strap. Heart rate error of 0.47 bpm with r = 0.999. Results are withheld when signal quality falls below threshold.

Fixed-Cost Licensing

No per-scan or per-user fees. Measure your entire user base for the same perpetual license cost, with options for binary or full source ownership.

Lightweight and Broad Coverage

Adds under 1 MB to your app download. Runs on approximately 99% of iPhones and 97% of Android phones currently in use.

Native Swift and Kotlin

First-class native SDKs for both platforms. No cross-platform bridge, no React Native wrapper — just clean, idiomatic iOS and Android APIs.

Own Your Outcomes IP

Your users’ data never touches Neurofit’s servers. Publish outcomes, share research, or build your own data products on top of readings you fully control.

Available Metrics

A single 60-second scan returns six metrics in one result object.
VO2max estimation and heart rate recovery are in active development and will be available in a future release.

Platform Support

The SDK ships as two independent native libraries — one for each platform — with a consistent API design.
  • Language: Swift
  • Minimum deployment target: Compatible with ~99% of iPhones in use (Statcounter, Aug 2026)
  • Distribution: Compiled binary framework via the Binary License, or full Swift source via the Source License
  • Size: Under 1 MB added to app download
